What’s your name? Asma Ali-Dodough.

What do you do? I am the assistant principal at Stella High School.

How are you feeling today? I'm feeling a little under the weather.

Coffee or tea? I love both.

What three words would you use to describe your school? I would describe our school as a small community within a larger community, committed to students and focused on providing opportunities.

What is your favorite time of day? I enjoy the morning.

Who inspires you? My sister.

What is something special about your school you would like people to know? I would like people to know that we're committed to providing opportunities for students and making adjustments that focus on their needs.

What makes you smile? What makes me smile is when I'm able to help other people.

Which actor would you like to play you if a movie was made about your life? Selma Hayek.

What is your favorite ice cream flavor? Chocolate.

What movie, book or TV show do you like to watch or read on repeat? I Love Lucy.

What is one thing you love about your job? I love working with the students.

Where do you want to travel to next? Iguazú Falls.

What did you want to grow up to be when you were younger? I’m not really sure. I don't really remember being asked.

What do you like to do to unwind after a long date? I like to go home, sit in my backyard, and jump in the pool.

What is something you are looking forward to at your school this year? I'm looking forward to seeing how our adjustments impact students’ success.

What is one thing you like about Los Angeles? I love the weather and the food.

What is your favorite type of food? Asian food. Especially ramen.

Last question, what is one thing you envision for your school this year? I envision seeing our students be successful, be happy, and feel like they belong here.
